Well done to Jacques batting at 3 who top scored with 21.

Although we lost there were a few good performances and the lads realise they are getting closer and closer to our next win.

U14 Forth Valley v Fife 2015-05-29

The U14s were put into bat and were immediately put under pressure losing wickets at regular intervals with some injudicious shots and the term ‘swinging like a rusty gate’ applied to many of our players.

However the extras kept on increasing and Euan Smith was holding the innings together with a well played 26.

At 60 – 9 things were looking bleak for the U14s but some excellent batting by Ewan Edwards  26* and Alexander Whitmarsh 14* managed to get the score up to 119 – 9.

This was a score the lads managed to defend with some good accurate bowling with Isaac being the main wicket taker. The fielding was good with no silly over throws or mis-fields, good backing up and some great catches.

A good team effort in the end to sneak a win after looking in deep trouble.

The bowling figures were as follows; Isaac 2-0-6-4; Euan 4-0-1-1 ; Angus 2-0-3-1 ; Gethin 2-0-6-1 ; Alexander 2-0-3-1

Fife were bowled out for 60 runs
